Introduction

My name is DebbieAnne Baione-Doda. I am a high school English teacher at Smithtown High School East. I use blogger all of the time for my classes. I use it for students to keep up with assignments and notes, and I've used it in classes like Creative Writing, Writing for College, and Debating where students submit their work as blog posts. In these classes, I've basically used this site as a way for students to share work with each other, as a paper saver (go green!) and as a way to keep track of daily progress because theses classes are workshop-based and entail a great deal of independent work/conferencing. I hope to utilize blogging in a more effective way to have students create portfolios, not just a "work log."
